From the 1930s-1960s, the Techincal Porcelain and Chinaware Company (TEPCO) produced dishes for restaurants all over the Bay Area. While the California based factory closed in 1968, this durable dishware lives on as an iconic collectible with an unexpected and impassioned cult following.

Dishware, though seemingly ordinary, is a vehicle to understand our community history & changing design sensibility. This zine catalogues TEPCO's wide range of dish decor & patterns.
