Award winning, versatile audio producer with six years of experience creating podcasts for news organizations and public radio. I’ve managed four shows, cumulatively produced over 400 episodes in ProTools, and reported several stories for NPR member stations. I am a passionate, collaborative storyteller with a focus on stories about culture, curiosity, and human relationships. My stories help listeners better understand themselves and the world. 

The Washington Post

I produce and edit feature stories for Post Reports, the Post’s premier daily news podcast.

  • Write scripts and collaborate with editors and reporters across newsroom desks, resulting in 50+ cross-department productions to date. 

  • Engineer and sound design episodes in ProTools.

  • Line edit daily turnaround stories and longform features. Provide feedback to producers on quick deadlines, meet with producers to go over changes, and provide edits for multiple audio drafts.

  • Project manage ambitious longform storytelling projects. Develop production calendar, set deadlines, check in with producers to access their needs, run table reads, communicate between departments, develop a promotion plan, and write web copy for publication.

  • Manage studio and remote interviews using ProTools, Zoom, and tape syncs and ensure quality audio recording throughout pandemic-related restrictions.

  • Book and pre-interview guests. Write pre-interview questions, find guests who can speak to subject matter, identify most compelling speakers.

  • Reported and produced in the field five times in five states, including filing several stories as the team’s main field producer for 2020 Presidential campaign coverage. 

  • Previously the lead producer for three shows: Retropod, The Daily 202, & Can He Do That.

  • Developed, fielded, and analyzed two listener surveys. Based on feedback, recommended and oversaw the inclusion of more international story coverage in The Daily 202.

  • Produced five half hour news segments for WAMU’s The Kojo Nnamdi Show

  • Produced first season of The California Foodways podcast.
